WELCOME
The Boyertown/Oley Retired School Employees Association was founded in 1973 when a group of retired educators met in Boyertown hoping to organize a Sub-Chapter of the Berks County Chapter of School Retirees . Thirteen original members worked to develop an organization that promotes, improves, and defends public education. Fifty years later, BORSEA has more than 550 members and is one of the largest chapters in Berks County.
ACTIVITIES
Our meetings and social events offer opportunities to get together with old friends and colleagues and to make new friends. Members are active volunteers who serve and support not only the public school system but the community at large.
DESTINATIONS
BORSEA offers members the opportunity to travel on a variety of trips each year such as the Christmas Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem, PA in December 2025, a week in Maine in September 2026, and tickets to "1776" The Musical at Walnut Street Theatre in May 2026.
